About the role

We are looking for an Operator: Plant to monitor, operate and record specific elements within the plant according to given operating procedures and standards. To ensure that the process flow runs effectively and optimally.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will:

• Perform manual duties as required per functional area to ensure optimal plant functioning, including general cleaning duties.
• Ensure correct operating procedures are followed as per predetermined processes and standards in order to achieve optimum outputs via optimal use of equipment
• Stand-in for the HME Operator, Principal Plant operator, Plant Controller or Process Controller when required
• Perform basic machine and equipment maintenance to ensure optimal functioning as per the requirements of the specific functional area.

• Matric with Core Mathematics & Physical Science (attaching a copy of a Valid certificate is compulsory) OR a complete N3 with Core Mathematics & Engineering Science (attaching a copy of a Valid certificate is compulsory)
• South African Driver’s Licence (attaching a copy of a Valid licence is compulsory)
• Experience in Heavy Industry would be beneficial
